Results of empirical research of interrelation of characteristics of manifestation are presented in this article at pupils ofproperties of attention with school progress. It is shown that purposeful formation of actions of self-checking in educationalactivity will promote formation of any attention of younger school students and, as a result, increase of their progress.

The research is devoted to the study of the development of self-esteem of junior high school students. It’s found that selfesteemof elementary school students from the first to the fourth grade is reduced. In the self-assessment of first-graders anemotional component is prevalent. For the fourth grade pupils have relationships between self-esteem and thinking, therefore,share the cognitive component of self-esteem increases. Found that self-assessment of fourth grade students dependsmainly on their mathematical abilities.
